In order to encourage passengers to travel by train at a time when there is less passenger flow and a greater opportunity to keep a safe distance from other passengers, from October 12, 2020 to April 11, 2021, tickets for one trip will be 20% cheaper on mid-day flights.

JSC “Pasažieru vilciens” Head of Public Relations Department Agnese Līcīte informed that a 20% discount will be applied both at the train ticket sales box office, on the “Pasažieru vilciens” website and mobile app, and on the train purchased at the conductor controller. In addition, when purchasing an e-ticket in the “Passenger Train” mobile app or on the website for one of the midday flights, you will be granted an additional discount of up to 10%, which is applicable to all tickets purchased electronically.

At the middle of the day, a 20% discount on tickets for one trip is applied to seven trains on the Riga-Skulte-Riga route, eight trains on the Riga-Aizkraukle-Riga route, eight trains on the Riga-Jelgava-Riga route, as well as 12 trains on the Riga-Tukums-Riga route.

In the train timetables at the ticket offices and at the information boards of stops, the flights for which a discount has been applied are marked with a green sign. Also on the “Passenger Train” website and in the mobile app, these flights are marked with a 20% discount sign, and when purchasing an e-ticket, the price of the specific route will already be indicated with a 20% discount, as well as an additional 5% or 10% discount on the ticket. purchase electronically.

It should be recalled that, in order to limit the spread of Covid-19 infectious disease, passengers must wear a mouth and nose cover on trains from 7 October onwards.
