NEW YORK — As kids head back to school for the 2023-2024 school year, in addition to notebooks and pencils, New York City is also requiring school health exams, which are free for kids.
In addition to free school health exams, available at no cost through the health insurance offered by the citywhich is also for the undocumented, New York City also offers all recommended immunizations for children ages 4 and up.
On the other hand, NYC Health + Hospitals offers comprehensive health care for all New York City children from birth to 21 years of age. Immunizations are also available by appointment for children ages 0-2 at all NYC H+H health care centers.
