Sophia Bush Confirms – Has Found Love in a Woman – QX

Sophia Bush played Brooke Davis in one of the most popular TV series of the 00s One Tree Hill and is a well-known face worldwide.

Last year she divorced her husband Grant Hughes and since then there has been talk and talk about the Hollywood star starting a lesbian relationship with the former soccer goalkeeper for the US national team Ashlynn Harris. In a cover story with the magazine Glamourshe now tells us that it is true.
– The bonus of this whole trip is that I spend every day with a person whose closeness is like being illuminated by the sun.

And the rainbow world has embraced her with open arms.
– I have experienced so much security, respect and love in the queer community, as an ally my whole life, that when I became part of it I already felt that it was my home, she says and continues:
– I have always known that my sexuality is on a spectrum. Right now, I think the word that best defines me is “queer”. I can’t say that without smiling, actually. And it feels pretty amazing.

The One Tree Hill actress also addresses the homophobic hate she has received since she “came out”.
– I remember how one of my mother’s friends called and said “No, this can’t be true. I mean, your daughter is not gay,” she says and continues:
– My mother felt that it was obvious, from the way the friend emphasized the word, that she was judgmental. My mother then said “Oh dear, I think she’s quite gay. And she is happy”.

Now a weight has been lifted from her shoulders.
– I finally feel that I can breathe. I don’t think I can explain how big this is.
