The fire brigade checked the next day whether there could be carbon monoxide poisoning.

According to the police, no traces of violence have been found and no suspects are in sight, although the investigation is still ongoing. The exact relationship between the victims has not been disclosed. It is clear that they are related to each other’s family. “This is an absolutely appalling tragedy, made even more poignant by the fact that the holidays are approaching,” Mayor Shelly Carlson said in a statement to local newspaper The Star Tribune. “My heart aches for the family and friends who received this devastating news this weekend. Our community mourns with them at this heartbreaking time.”
