In a traffic accident in Herkenbosch in Limburg, five people, including three children, were injured on Saturday afternoon, the law enforcement.
The accident happened around 2:30 PM. Two passenger cars were involved in the accident. All five of the victims were in the same car. It concerns two women and three children.
According to 1Limburg the car crashed into a tree and turned over. The accident is said to have been caused during an overtaking attempt. The two cars hit each other, causing the car containing the women and children to get off the road.
The police cannot say anything about the seriousness of the injuries. 1Limburg reports that the driver was seriously injured. The victims were taken to hospital by ambulances. According to the broadcaster, a baby was transported by trauma helicopter to the hospital in Maastricht. The driver of the second car was not injured.
