Breendonk / Liezele / Ruisbroek / Puurs-Sint-Amands –
At Mouterij Albert in the Gansbroekstraat in Ruisbroek (Puurs-Sint-Amands), a violent fire raged in a silo on Monday afternoon. Some explosions and a black cloud of smoke startled the neighborhood.

It is presumably a roof fire that dies in a silo. The fire brigade is fully on site for extinguishing. There are no casualties. The fire was initially accompanied by enormous smoke development. It quickly disappeared as soon as the extinguishing work had started.
The smoke did drift towards Boom. The inhabitants of Boom have been asked to keep windows and doors closed. It is still unclear what caused the fire.
