Arthur Melo leaves FC Barcelona at the end of the season. The 23-year-old midfielder becomes a teammate of Matthijs de Ligt at Juventus, which pays him at least 72 million euros.
Melo played 72 matches for Barcelona in the past two years, which took him over from Grêmio for 31 million euros. The Brazilian has been in the interest of Juventus for some time, but initially was not keen on a departure from Spain.
Now he makes the switch to Turin, as part of an exchange deal between both clubs. Miralem Pjanic is expected to take the opposite path soon.
According to Barcelona, Melo’s transfer fee can still rise by 10 million euros.
