“First, the plasma, consisting of quarks and gluons, was separated by the hot expansion of the Universe. Then the quark particles were transformed into the so-called hadrons. A hadron with three quarks forms a proton, which is part of atomic nuclei. These nuclei are the building blocks that make up the Earth, we and the universe around us, “say researchers at the University of Copenhagen.

It is noted that the quark-gluon plasma was in the first 0.000001 seconds of the Big Bang, but then disappeared.

“The collider pushes plasma ions together at a tremendous speed – almost the speed of light. This allows you to see how the plasma turns into nuclei of atoms and the building blocks of life,” add physicists.

The developed algorithm made it possible to analyze the collective expansion at the same time and showed that initially the quark-gluon plasma was a liquid, but soon changed its shape.

As a result, it was found that QGP, like water, has a smooth and soft texture, smoothly changing its forms.
