Falling flat after topless protest

Lately millions of people have shared on Instagram and other social media posts in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement, while others have shared information about everyday racism, protested publicly, and shared signature campaigns. The George Floyd murder case in May blew new life in the movement.

Many have become involved in the discourse, which has by no means diminished yet. Thousands are urging, among other things, that police officers who were present when 26-year-old ambulance worker Breonna Taylor was shot and killed in Kentucky in March should be arrested. The FBI has stated that they are investigating the case, but no charges have been taken so far.

Breonna Taylor was shot at least eight times, and several are now demanding action and believe the justice system must do justice. One of those who has thrown himself into the debate is “Riverdale” actor Lili Reinhart (23).

– Was black, dirty, brown and ugly

– Pre-taxable

Recently, she posted a photo on Instagram where she made it clear that she wanted police officers involved in the arrest.

The way she did it, however, attracted so much negative attention that she saw herself having to delete the post. It reports, among other things Cosmopolitan.

The 23-year-old posted a topless photo, with the following description: “Now that my pup has caught your attention – Breonna Taylor’s killers are still not arrested. We must demand justice, ”she wrote to her 24.4 million followers.

It didn’t take long for the criticism to start rolling in, and the post disappeared. Several felt it was a shame that the star used the 26-year-old’s death as a way to get attention, and she was quickly described as “reprehensible” and “selfish”.

On Twitter, the star later chose to explain himself after the criticism storm.

“I’ve always tried to use my platform for something good. And I talk a lot about things that are important to me. I can admit mistakes I make, and this time I made a mistake with the picture description. It was never my intention to offend anyone, and I really apologize to those who were supported, ”she writes in one of the messages.

The 23-year-old also follows up with her “trying to learn”, but she later understands that what she wrote was “tone deaf.”

“I had really good intentions, and I really didn’t think it could be perceived as sensitive,” the star concludes.

WEIRD: The relationship between Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart is said to be ending – but the actors from “Riverdale” must naturally meet in a procedural job context.

Get involved

In the thread, fans are still discussing diligently. While some accept the regret, others believe the damage has already happened.

Reinhart, by the way, is not the only star to have thrown himself into the debate. Recently Beyoncé also demanded that those involved in Taylor’s death be arrested.

“It has now been over three months since members of the Louisville Police Department (LMPD) killed Breonna Taylor,” Beyoncé wrote recently.

The search of Taylor’s apartment was part of a drug investigation. Taylor, who worked as an emergency medical technician, was not a suspect in the case and no drugs were found.

Gianna (6) touches a whole world

Police opened fire after her boyfriend fired one shot as he thought their home was being invaded. He hit a police officer in the leg, and the officers responded by firing more than 20 shots, writes The Guardian.

A “no knock warrant” gives police in the United States the right to enter a property without notifying residents, for example by calling or knocking.

It was precisely on such a basis that the police officers must have entered her apartment. In June, the Louisville City Council passed “Breona’s Law,” which bans “no knock warrants” and requires all body cameras to be turned on before and after each search, according to ABC News.

– While “Breona’s Law” was passed in Louisville and federal legislation has been introduced, which will also ban “no knock-warrants”, these small steps in the right direction are painful reminders that there has still been no justice for Breonna Taylor and her family, Beyoncé wrote further.

So far, no one has been arrested. Among other celebrities who have thrown themselves into the case, we find Kanye West, among others. He has donated $ 2 million to the families of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor.
