Excellent debut for Van den Brom, Real Sociedad as the leader to Alkmaar

John van den Brom has made an excellent start on his new job as a trainer KRC Genk. The team of the Dutch trainer won 4-1 against Royal Excel Mouscron on Sunday evening and reports in third place.

KRC Genk – Royal Excel Moeskroen 4-1
The first goal in the Luminus Arena was one by Nuno da Costa from the guests from Mouscron. A disappointment for Van den Brom and his team, but before half-time they straightened their back. Junya Ito made it 1-1, after which Genk put things in order in the second half. Theo Bongonda scored two goals and Paul Onuachu scored once, making the final result very wide.

Genk is now third in the Jupiler Pro League and has only one point less than Club Brugge, which is the leader. Beerschot is number two and has the same number of points as Van den Brom’s team. Earlier in the season, Genk lost 5-2 to Beerschot and so they are on a mutual result higher.

Cádiz – Real society 0-1
Real Sociedad will travel to Alkmaar next week as the leader of La Liga. The Basques won the difficult away game at Cádiz 0-1 by a header goal from Alexander Isak, relieving Atlético Madrid again at the top of the rankings. Los Rojiblancos, who managed to win the top match against Barcelona this weekend, are now three points behind but still have two games to choose from.

Angers – Olympic lyon 0-1
Memphis Depay completed the ninety minutes at OL and saw that his team was struggling to visit mid-engine Angers. Deep in the second half, Lyon managed to make the difference: Tino Kadewere was the celebrated man ten minutes before the end. The three-pointer brings Memphis and his team to second place in Ligue 1. Leader Paris Saint-Germain, who lost to AS Monaco earlier this weekend, is four points apart.

Leeds United – Arsenal 0-0
The Arsenal season is not to write home about for the time being. The Gunners are colorless in the middle bracket of the Premier League and the team of trainer Mikel Arteta also failed to win a visit to PhD student Leeds United. A red card for Nicolas Pépé, who headbutted his opponent, was the only highlight of the game and so it remained 0-0 on Elland Road.

International – Torino 4-2
The start of the season is not going well for Inter for the time being, but in-house the team has at least three points left from the encounter with Torino. However, it was not easy: the away team came through Simone Zaza and Cristian Ansaldi lead 0-2, but was unable to hold on to it.

It seemed like Inter woke up after an hour of play. Alexis Sánchez scored the tying goal and then the gate was gone. Romelu Lukaku put the equalizer on the scoreboard three minutes later and with about five minutes to play, his team took the lead from the penalty spot. The final chord was for Lautaro Martínez, who made the 4-2.

AS Roma – Parma 3-0
A simple victory for Roma, who scored three goals against Parma at home. With Karsdorp in the starting line-up, the home team already ran to a 3-0 lead in the first half via Borja Majoral and two hits by Henrikh Mkhitaryan. After the break, Roma ‘s foot went off the accelerator, but trainer Paulo Fonseca’s men did not get into trouble.

Sheffield United – West Ham United 0-1
West Ham can add three points. It won a visit to Sheffield United 0-1 by a goal from former FC Utrecht striker Sébastien Haller. The Frenchman hit the ball hard from just outside the penalty area. This was it on Bramall Lane.
