Thiruvananthapuram ∙ The Additional Sessions Court will rule on Eldos Kunnappilly MLA’s request for early bail in the case of molesting a young woman on the 20th. The prosecution told the court that the complainant’s life had been threatened by Eldos. The KPCC must respond to the explanation requested by Eldos within 20 days. The police have been instructed not to rush the arrest.
The argument of both parties is closed. The prosecution opposed the bail request. Defense attorney said Eldos Kunnapilli is a victim of political enmity. It was also claimed that the complaint was made up. The prosecution said that in addition to Eldos, there are influential accused in the case. Kovalam CI along with some influential people tried to close the case. The prosecution also said that granting bail would threaten the young woman’s life.
The defendant argued that the complainant is the one bringing the lawsuit against the people, focusing on physical, mental and sexual issues. You can’t trust people like that. 30 lakhs offered to withdraw the case are unfounded. The complainant did not report physical abuse as he filed the complaint on the 28th of last month. Since then, this accusation has been part of the blackmail. The complainant is the person who filed a harassment complaint against CI and SI before the Women’s Commission. The defense said there are 2 warrants and 10 cases against them as plaintiff and defendant.
Meanwhile, the Criminal Section team took the woman who filed a complaint against the MLA to various locations for evidence collection. Evidence was collected in places like Kovalam Guest House and Vizhinjam. On the 28th of last month, a resident of Petta, a teacher, filed a complaint against Eldos.
