Citizens who have completed compulsory military service are given the opportunity to enter any state higher educational institution of the Republic of Kazakhstan without the results of the Unified National Test, on a preferential basis. Also, the border service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan identifies citizens who have undergone compulsory military service in units of national security agencies through a competitive selection stage. In the future, higher education organizations of the Republic of Kazakhstan will provide educational benefits for studying without UNT results.

In addition, the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan selects candidates for the Border Academy, military educational institutions of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Turkey.

– To enter the specified higher educational institutions it is necessary to have a secondary or post-secondary education, without undergoing military service. The main age exception should be citizens who have reached 17 years of age in the year of admission, but not older than 21 years. In the year of admission, military personnel under the age of 25 who are undergoing military service under a contract are accepted. Also, admission to training is carried out according to the decision of the competitive selection committee. The candidate’s rating is determined by summing up the scores of the unified national testing (at least 50 points, and in medical specialties – at least 70 points) and the data of the latest professional selection, Batyr Batyrbekov said.
