The number of Düsseldorf residents who were currently tested positive for the corona virus was 17,853 on Tuesday (March 16), which is 2 more than the day before. As of Monday evening (March 15), the total number of people who have tested positive for Covid-19 in Düsseldorf since March 3, 2020 is 17,853 (+2). Around 570 people in Düsseldorf are infected with this. 84 people are currently being treated in hospitals, 23 of them in intensive care units. So far 298 (+0) sick people have died.

Tests
On Monday (March 15th) 388 swabs were taken from the mobile teams and in the diagnostic centers at the Mitsubishi Electric Hall. This figure also includes the smears carried out in old people’s and nursing homes, refugee and homeless shelters. Since March 4, 2020, 109,042 smears have been taken via the diagnostic centers.
Dates for PCR tests
Anyone who lives or works in Düsseldorf and shows symptoms such as dry cough, sore throat, shortness of breath or fever can be tested. In addition, current contact persons in Category I and persons who have been advised of an increased risk by the Corona warning app can be deleted. For this it is necessary to make an appointment beforehand on the Corona information phone at 0211-8996090. Further tests are also arranged by the resident doctors or in the test centers of the laboratories. Also new are various offers for rapid tests, for which appointments can be booked online.
Free corona rapid tests
The city offers 1000 quick tests daily from Monday to Saturday (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) in the Mitsubishi Electric Hall, Siegburger Strasse 15. In addition, contracts were signed with eleven other providers. A current list and information on booking appointments can be found here.
Advice and information
The Corona hotline can be reached Monday to Friday from 7.30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The city recommends calling outside of peak hours during the week between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. There is no advice on Sundays and public holidays.
Vaccinations
The city of Düsseldorf started the first vaccinations on December 27th. Since then, residents and nursing home staff have been vaccinated by a mobile team. On Monday (March 15th) another 3,134 vaccinations were reported. Since December 27, 2020, 77,437 vaccine doses have been administered in Düsseldorf, 23,263 of which as a second vaccination.
The start of vaccinations at the vaccination center was on February 8th. The staff of clinics and those already entitled to vaccinate in Group 2 receive information about a possible vaccination at their workplaces. No vaccination capacities are currently available for all other Düsseldorf residents

After the suspension of vaccinations with Astrazeneca by the federal government, the NRW Ministry of Health reacted immediately and initiated the immediate vaccination stop in Düsseldorf. The Blockblocks Cleanup teams are regularly out in nature to collect rubbish. During the action on Sunday (March 14th) a message in a bottle in the form of a jam jar was found, which was probably thrown into the Rhine on March 25, 2001 near the Fleher Bridge. The then 12-year-old girl named Christina has become a grown woman after twenty years. The Blockblocks team is doing everything possible to send her the message that her message in a bottle has been found. Who knows the sender?
