Two months ago, Dropbox announced the imminent release of several security-related features. In addition to a safe and an automatic computer backup solution, the online file storage referred to the release of a password manager. It is now done.
From this day on, Dropbox Premium users will be able to take advantage of its password manager, soberly called Passwords. With the latter, it is possible to bring together your identifiers and passwords on a single service. Thus, you no longer have to enter your codes when connecting to another platform. The service may also offer you a strong password.
The principle is quite similar to that of other companies like Dashlane or 1Password. You only have to connect to your manager before storing and synchronizing all your data then the tool is responsible for automatically filling in the fields during connection. Access is possible on all devices thanks to an application, whether it is the computer (Windows, Mac) or the smartphone (iOS, Android).

The other features announced by Dropbox in June are also available today. We find the famous safe called “Vault”. This is a storage file secured by a six-digit code. Its purpose is to accommodate particularly sensitive data and information. The documents are encrypted during the download, specifies the service.
