Dozens of people detained in Belarus for comments on the death of a KGB officer

Human rights activists believe that the detainees spoke positively on social networks about the man who shot the KGB officer.

About fifty people were detained in Belarus for comments on social networks related to the murder of a KGT employee. About it informs Human Rights Center Spring on Thursday, 30 September.

The detentions took place in the framework of criminal cases under articles on insulting government officials and inciting social hatred.

Human rights activists assume that the detainees spoke positively about the man who shot the KGB officer in comments on social networks, which the authorities did not like.

At the moment, all the detainees are in the pre-trial detention center in Akrestsin Street. The wife of one of them said that the arrest of her husband happened suddenly.

“We went home, approached, and there already three of them were taking him out. He managed to whisper to me:“ This is the KGB, ”the woman said.

Recall that earlier KGB officer shot in Belarus, the shooter is also killed. The security forces broke into the apartment and ran into a fire. One of the KGB officers was fatally wounded, and his colleagues killed the shooter.
