Radím Daněk took up the position of Deputy Director of the Regional Directorate for External Service in the summer of 2013. According to information published by the police on his website at the time, he has worked for the police since 1988, gradually holding various senior positions. In listing his activities, police said he was involved in organizing rescue operations during the 1997 and 2009 floods, and managed and coordinated security measures in connection with mass public nuisance, extremism and spectator violence, including football matches.
