As part of the government’s plan for reopening, a number of changes were introduced on Friday that restrict travel in and out of the country.
Until now, there has been a requirement for an important purpose for everyone who wanted to enter Denmark and who lives in the EU or the Schengen area. This requirement is repealed.
Most Europeans will still have to be isolated for a period after entry – if they have not been vaccinated or previously infected.
But this does not apply to people who live near Denmark in Schleswig-Holstein and several areas in Sweden. They can travel freely into Denmark as tourists if they have tested negative for corona.
