Deadpool is mentioned as part of the Marvel Universe at the Avengers Campus of Disneyland Paris

The desire to see Deadpool in the Marvel Cinematic Universe increases with each passing day. Following Disney’s purchase of 20th Century Fox in 2019, Marvel Studios was quick to confirm that the Mercenary with a Mouth would continue to be played by Ryan Reynolds after his two successful solo installments under the Fox umbrella and the X-Men saga. Since then, we have known that ‘Deadpool 3’ Is Officially Underway With Shawn Levy Directingalthough we still do not have a release date or specific details on how Wade Wilson’s expected jump to UCM will take place.

While we wait to see the irreverent mutant on the big screen again, Marvel wanted to offer a little appetizer by jokingly mentioning the character in the context of the Marvel Universe. But it has not been in a movie or series, but in an attraction of Disneyland Paris. Specifically in the new Avengers Assemble: Flight Force roller coaster, inside the Avengers Campus.

In the attraction, Iron Man’s artificial intelligence, FRIDAY, alerts the superhero of a Kree missile headed for Earth. Knowing that he can’t destroy the threat by himself, Tony begins looking to his contact book for help. In it appear the names of various characters, and among them is that of Wade Wilson, who is listed on the ‘Do Not Contact’ list, with other undesirables from the Marvel Universe like Kraglin, Nebula, Yondu, Loki, Crossbones, Sonny Burch and William Ginter Riva. By selecting Deadpool’s name, we see that he is “active” and the warning “Do not join” appears next to it on the tab. You can see the moment on YouTube thanks to Insider).

Of course, it is not the first time that the character is officially associated with the Marvel Universe. Last year, Ryan Reynolds starred in a fun promotional video for ‘Free Guy’ in which Deadpool reacted with Korg (Taika Waititi) to the trailer for the film, also starring Reynolds.

News from Comic-Con?

As is often the case with Marvel Studios projects, secrecy surrounds ‘Deadpool 3’. In addition to the aforementioned announcement from its director, Shawn Levy, who recently worked with Reynolds on ‘The Adam Project’, we have confirmation that the sequel will once again star Leslie Uggams as Wade’s friend and roommate, Blind Al, and the Reynolds himself has suggested that filming could take place this year.

Bearing this in mind, we will be very attentive next Saturday, July 23, to the expected return of Marvel Studios to the emblematic Hall H of the San Diego Comic-Conwhere big announcements about the future of the Marvel Universe are expected, among which ‘Deadpool 3’ could be included.
