During his regular press conference, Bill de Blasio dedicated some moving words to the memory of the late Mayor David Dinkins.

In his participation, Health Commissioner Dave Chokshi presented the campaign: Stay Safe, Stay Home! (Stay safe, stay home) which urges the population to dispense with family gatherings during this celebration.
The Mayor announced that the municipal government will be present at different ports of entry in order to emphasize that those who arrive in the city fill out their questionnaire or Traveler Form.
Similarly, Test and Tracking brigades will be present to offer all the information about test sites and the suggested quarantine.
For its part, the Sheriff’s Office will increase its checkpoints for cars and buses at entry points into the city.
And as a follow-up, the Sheriff’s Office will send emails, text messages, automated and live calls, and even send people to knock on the doors of those involved.
He pointed out that any violation of the order of the Commissioner of the Department of Health represents a crime and carries a fine of $ 1,000 to $ 2,000.
