At the bottom of the Bahadır Dam, which is located on Sıracevizler Creek, 3 kilometers from Bahadır village, a crack occurred at 2:00 pm.
The villagers, who noticed the situation by day, reported the situation to the authorities.
The water in the dam started to be discharged by DSI against any flood situation.
The authorities have reported that 60 centimeters of the dam have been emptied into the stream so far.
HOUSES WILL BE UNLOADED IN 2 VILLAGES
Schools were vacationed in the villages of Bahadır, Hatıplar, Güllüçam and Banaz, as the students were working on the transit route.
The houses close to the edge of the tea were reported to be evacuated by the gendarmerie for precautionary purposes.
EXPLANATION FROM GOVERNOR
In a statement made by the Uşak Governorship, it was said:
* In the Bahadır Pond located on Sıracevizler Creek in the Banaz district of Uşak, water outlet was observed on the right side of the body embankment in the morning hours.
* In order to prevent the water coming out of the pond from causing any adversity in the region, the security measures were taken immediately by the DSİ 2. Regional Directorate teams, the authorities and authorities were informed and the citizens were warned.
* In order not to increase the water outlet and prevent the pond body to be damaged more, bottom sluice valves were opened and discharging operations were started.
* Versatile investigations continue about the cause and occurrence of the event.
* In the evaluation made with DSİ 2. Regional authorities, it has been decided to evacuate our villages in Bahadır (584 population) and Hatipler (778) villages on the stream bed route, as the hotels, pensions, dormitories in Banaz district center and other public buildings.
DSI: CITIZENS WERE ALERT
The General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works (DSI) issued a statement on the news that some media outlets reported cracking the dam in Uşak Banaz.
