Wali Kota Solo Gibran Rakabuming Raka initially clarified the incident of the arrest of the son of the Chairman of the Karawang DPRD named Gibran for unfurling the Party flag Democrats in Arabic. The Democrats also replied to Gibran’s tweet.
Gibran initially clarified the news that a man was arrested by the police at the Prophet’s Mosque for unfurling the party’s flag. The man has the same name as Gibran.
“Please allow me to clarify regarding reporting in several media. Through this post, I want to clarify that the Gibran referred to in the news is not me,” Gibran tweeted via his Twitter account @gibran_tweet, as quoted detikJatengFriday (10/2).
Gibran then revealed the figure of the man who unfurled the Democratic Party flag at the Prophet’s Mosque. “Instead, it was Gibran, the son of the chairman of the Karawang DPRD who unfurled the @PDemokrat flag at the Prophet’s Mosque,” he continued.
He also asked Solo residents not to panic regarding the news. Gibran emphasized that the man who was arrested only had the same name as him.
Democrats replied to Gibran’s tweet. The Democrats said that Gibran ‘Karawang’ was an expressive figure and was proud to be a Democratic cadre.
“Thank you for your attention, sir. Gibran “Karawang”, like other Democratic cadres, is militant and expressive, showing his pride in being a Democratic cadre. He has returned to his homeland, because the problem is not as widely reported. 😄,” tweeted the Democratic Party’s Twitter account @ PDemocrat, reported detikJateng, Saturday (11/2/2023). The spelling of the tweet has been adjusted.
Gibran then responded to the Democratic Party admin’s tweet. “Yes sir. Greetings to Gibran “karawang”,” replied Gibran.
The interaction between Gibran and the Democratic Party reaped various reactions from netizens. Many netizens also teased Gibran for changing his name.
