Coronavirus in Italy: Record low deaths per day

Eight people infected with coronavirus died last day in Italy, which is a record low since the beginning of the pandemic in this country. 175 new infections have been reported, which is less than in previous days. The balance of the dead increased to 34,716, the Ministry of Health said on Saturday.

So far, over 240,000 coronavirus cases have been confirmed throughout Italy. Currently, approximately 16,000 people are infected.

The number of cured has exceeded 188,000. There are 97 most severely ill patients with Covid-19 in intensive care units; least for over four months.

44 percent of new infections were registered in Lombardy.
