In view of the rapid increase in cases of infection with the new coronavirus strain (Covid-19) in northern Italy, which as of Monday night infected more than two hundred people and caused seven deaths, the level of concern has soared in Europe and Portugal also decided to reinforce prevention and containment measures. Five more hospitals are now available to receive suspected cases, in addition to the three that were already doing so, and four more were activated laboratories to test them. Informative leaflets will also be distributed on flights from Italy.
