Compassion! Treated at Concussion Impact Hospital, this patient was even raped

Jakarta

A woman in Paris, France was raped by a man who should have been deported. As reported by Dailymail, the incident took place at the Cochin hospital in Paris on October 27-28.

The victim, who was undergoing emergency treatment due to a brain injury, was raped at 4 am local time. Fortunately, the woman was found by a nurse and the perpetrator was arrested by the police an hour after the incident.

French media said the suspect was carrying the victim’s credit card. Police have identified the suspect as being 22 years old and being charged with the crime of rape.

The man had multiple identities and was the subject of two deportation orders to leave France under two different names. For now, the nationality of the perpetrator has not been disclosed.

The victim’s lawyer, Laura Abecassis, said she filed a complaint because she had threatened the life of her client. Because the accident caused a double trauma, both from the accident and from the situation (being in the hospital).

“He (the victim) wanted to understand how this very serious act could happen in a public body,” said Laura.

Currently, prosecutors can request an investigation into the circumstances under which the assault occurred due to the woman’s complaint. Meanwhile, the hospital confirmed that a patient had suffered the attack but declined to comment on the ongoing investigation.

What is Brain Injury?

Quoted by the Mayo Clinic, brain injuries usually occur as a result of a hard blow or blows to the head or body. Objects that penetrate brain tissue, such as bullets or skull fragments, can also cause brain injury. This injury is traumatic.

A minor brain injury can temporarily affect brain cells. More serious brain injuries can cause bruising, torn tissue, bleeding, and other physical damage to the brain. These injuries can cause long-term complications or death.
