Associations: “Companies already part of the solution”
The entrepreneurs are neither the cause of the crisis nor part of the problem, says the managing director of the Association of Business Associations in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Sven Müller. On the contrary, the companies have been contributing to the solution with sophisticated hygiene concepts, adapted work processes and home office offers since the beginning of the pandemic.
Test acquisition difficult for small companies
The chambers of industry and commerce in the north-east also see it this way: The President of the IHK zu Schwerin, Matthias Belke, believes that anyone who makes mandatory testing must also bear the costs. The President of the Association of Chambers of Crafts, Axel Hochschild, also says that the attempt to shift responsibility and costs to the economy is sending the wrong signal from the federal government. Test procurement would pose major challenges for small businesses in particular. The DGB Nord, on the other hand, welcomes the obligation of companies to offer corona tests.
