Esneca Fraga Club competes in Final Four of WSE Champions League: A Step Closer to European Glory

At the gates of glory. There is the Patín Esneca Fraga Club who, this weekend, will compete in the Final Four of the WSE Champions League at the Riazor Sports Palace, in A Coruña.

After only three seasons of experience in women’s roller hockey, the team from the capital of Bajo Cinca is one step away from being the best in Europe, which would be a milestone for Aragonese women’s sports.

The frigate expedition has already traveled to the territory of Galicia. “We are ready to face new challenges. We have been working hard and we are going for it,” said Albert Pinyol, president of Esneca Fraga.

On the pitch, HC Coruña will be waiting for them on Saturday at 7:30 pm in the first match of this Final Four.

Although the A Coruña team may have the court factor in their favour, “we know how to play and win games under a lot of pressure and I’m sure our players will overcome the Riazor environment,” said Pinyol, who also trusted that the support of the fans would transfer to A Coruña.

With 4 days left until the end of the OK Liga Iberdrola, Esneca Fraga is 14 points ahead of the Galician team. However, the fragatinas coach, Jordi Capdevila, emphasized that “we must focus on this competition 100%, the regular play of the domestic competition has nothing to do with a one-game tie like the one last Saturday.” Likewise, he said that “we are risking everything in 50 minutes, we have to come out with one hundred percent focus,” he said.

If CP Esneca Fraga wins Saturday’s match against HC Coruña, the definitive match that will bring the Aragonese team to the top of the Olympus of continental sports will be played on Sunday at 12 o’clock on the same stage. The rival will be the winner of the other Final Four match, which will be against HC Palau de Plegamans and CP Vila-sana.
