Community service for owner of dog who bit Julia (18) in the face | Inland

On December 11, the dogs were let out on the Nunspeetlaan in The Hague. One of the dogs grabbed a smaller dog, owned by the 18-year-old woman. She wanted to help her pet, but was bitten in the face herself. The woman eventually came loose, had to be hospitalized and still has large scars from the bite on her face.

The accused ran off with her dogs after the incident, she was arrested at home by the police after a day and a half. Both dogs were said to be confiscated, but the biting dog behaved so aggressively that the police eventually shot him dead. According to the dog handlers of the police, they had never seen such an aggressive animal.

The woman would abuse the animals and not restrain them, according to the Public Prosecution Service. “When she walked the dogs, it looked more like she was being pulled by two trucks,” someone in the neighborhood survey said.

The public prosecutor blames the woman that the animals did not wear muzzles. According to the woman, the dogs had already bitten a muzzle and she had no money for a new one. “The fact that the dog bites a muzzle should be enough to set off all the alarm bells. She knew that her dog could injure someone and took that risk consciously,” said the officer.
