In the Cologne clinics, the doctors are currently treating 95 Covid 19 patients and, according to the city of Cologne, 60 of them are in intensive care units. 7.83 percent of Cologne’s intensive care beds are free this morning, according to the DIVI intensive care register, June 11, 8:10 a.m. These are intensive care beds for adults. RKI reports 2,440 new corona infections – the incidence drops to 18.6

The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) provisionally reported 2,440 new corona infections early on Friday morning. That was 23 percent or 725 fewer cases than on Friday morning a week ago. According to the RKI, the incidence fell from 19.3 yesterday to 18.6 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants within the last seven days.

Because last week Thursday was a public holiday in several federal states, the previous week comparison has little meaning. Overall, according to the preliminary figures, the institute is currently assuming around 52,900 active corona cases with evidence, which is around 26,700 fewer than a week ago. In addition, the RKI now reported 102 deaths within 24 hours in connection with the virus.

Within the last seven days there were 661 deaths, corresponding to an average of 94 deaths per day (previous day: 92). This increased the number of deaths to 89,687 within 24 hours. So far, a total of 3.71 million people in Germany have tested positive for the corona virus. Since these are preliminary figures for today, these could be corrected later by the RKI.
