Chernobylite, an open world survival horror game, will be released on the day. July 28th. your character will be called Igor Khymynyuk, a physicist who once worked at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. Your main objective will be to investigate your fiancée’s disappearance – 30 years after it happened. Human enemies, and others less so, will be your opponents during the journey to discover what really happened in the desolate place.

For those who want to play the PC version, the good news is that the product doesn’t seem to demand much of the hardware. Look:

The game has been in early access stage since mid 2019 (on Steam). However, only now will it be possible to enjoy the full experience, as some excerpts of the story will only be available from the final version onwards. More information can be found at official site.

A system of choices will be present for the player to shape the actions he deems appropriate. Science fiction aspects will also be present, along with survival horror. Besides the nonlinear story, the scenarios can be freely explored.

During development, it was mentioned that the virtual environments were made with the help of 3D mapping of the latest generation. It will be possible to find allies or create even more enemies, depending on your posture when interacting with other survivors – and new missions can be unlocked through these interactions.

It is worth noting that this project was made possible by investments in its campaign in Kickstarter. Those responsible have spared no effort to please investors.

Extravagant rewards, entitlement to an actual trip to Chernobyl, were offered to those who invested in the more expensive packages, which were limited and costed. US$ 1.300,00 – approximately R$ 6.700,00.

Chernobylite will be released to PlayStation 4 e Xbox One, in addition to receiving a version for PC. A native edition for the current generation of consoles will be released later this year; however, in the meantime, owners of these devices will be able to play through backwards compatibility.
