The concert was widely attended – both well-known people and fans of the singers came to see the performance of “Shipsea”. Among the celebrities, the mayor of Riga Mārtiņš Staķis with his wife, Jānis Šipkēvics’s colleague from the group “Instrumenti” Reinis Sējāns, Ojārs Rubenis, Dita Rietuma and others were visible.
In a new reading, a combination of string quartet, piano and voices played “pages” from the works of “Shipsea” – “Taviem ceļiļim”, “Mežaparks”, as well as the songs of the latest album “Apgaismo mani” – “Tavi vāņli”, “Pie upes”, “Dunka” ” and “In a warm light”.
The program also includes melodies that were once created by Imants Kalniņš, Keita Buša and Pīters Gabriels.
