If you don’t mind Chinese origin and a three-cylinder engine under the hood, you can buy a new Toyota Tundra for just 149,000. Okay, not really …

China is famous for its automotive creations and fearless copying of designs from other brands. While it may seem that the situation has improved in recent years and local carmakers are trying to create some of their own, the inspiration abroad isn’t over. Presentation of the Tundar pick-up.
The company Sino Vehicle Hub (SVH), in its own words, is engaged in the mediation of business vehicles for those interested in the Chinese market. But he doesn’t hesitate to build cars either and recently shared the first photos of one of his models on his Facebook page. It’s called SVH Tundar and if its front design reminds you of something, you’re not wrong.
The appearance of the ancestor was inspired by the existing third generation Toyota Tundra pickup, which was introduced about a year ago. The pattern is clearly visible not only in the shape of the front grille, but also in the headlights (including graphics) and in the sockets indicated below them. At the rear are the same shaped lights and the hood, which even has the TUNDRA lettering in a font very similar to the original. Here, the manufacturer didn’t even try to mask the inspiration by swapping the last two letters in the model name.

But SVH Tundar is different in everything else. It is obvious at first glance that this is a significantly smaller car with different proportions. The design of the front and rear does not even match the rest of the car, which focuses more on simpler (and cheaper) shapes. The interior tries to look sophisticated, combining painted colored plastic with chrome details and integrated screens, while the floor is covered in (apparently) leatherette.
SVH lists cargo area length and width as 1,300 and 1,450mm, while offering 450mm of height. The equipment includes thirteen-inch wheels, air conditioning and parking camera. Almost lost under the front hood is Isuzu’s three-liter three-cylinder petrol engine, the performance of which is not mentioned by SVH. But the top speed of the Tundar is 100 km / h. The front axle wheels are operated by a five-speed manual.
Sales of the small pickup will begin later this year, with the manufacturer currently looking for overseas export partners. The colleagues of the American site The Drive managed to discover that the price of the SVH Tundar has been converted into 6,000 dollars, or about 149 thousand crowns. Car delivery should be included in the price. Would you go and buy something similar or would you rather look at the car dealership offer?
