There was a lot of panic in Hollywood when Ellen and Portia were broken into. The couple has quite famous and wealthy neighbors, such as Oprah Winfrey and Ariana Grande. Where the police first warned the stars not to report on social media when they leave the house and to leave the light on when they do leave, it turns out to be unnecessary advice. The burglary at Ellen would have been by an acquaintance of hers.

The police reassured them in a newsletter to residents in Ellen’s neighborhood. “If it was about outsiders coming here and breaking in, I would have warned you to be alert and put everything away safely”, it sounds. “But according to our helpful sheriff Lieutenant Arnoldi it seems to have been an ‘inside job’.” So the acquaintance of the couple could have known whether Ellen and Portia would be home. They ran off with expensive jewelry and watches.
