A wild midnight action took place on the central boulevard of Plovdiv. Minutes before 0300 on Saturday, the driver of a car traveling down Tsar Boris Treti Obedinitel Blvd. struck another one. In the first a family traveled and in the second a 19-year-old boy with his boyfriend. After the collision, both vehicles braked hard and the situation became scary.
The couple got out, a 40-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman, as well as the young driver and his fiancée. They began to exchange flowery insults, curses and threats. Tensions escalated within seconds and a fight broke out. The young man attacked the 40-year-old motorist, while his wife hit her lover’s opponent with fury. All three exchanged punches in the face. There were both men’s and women’s fights.
“Your mother will make you cry! Do you want me to kick you like a soccer ball at the World Cup?” could be heard from one side. “I’ll leave you disabled!”, the other party to the conflict also didn’t have to.
A police report has been filed. However, even those who came to the scene in uniform were greeted with curses and threats. There was also an aggressive attitude towards drivers stopping to see what was going on and if needed to help.
Eventually, the bullies were arrested and taken to the nearby district police station. Acts were drawn up for them under the decree on combating petty hooliganism. By decision of the district court of the city under the hills, each of them will have to pay a fine of 150 levs.
