Vitor Hugo Valente, president of Vitória de Setúbal, was beaten this Thursday in the city center on Avenida Luísa Todi.
The sadino leader had bruises on his face and went to the hospital in Setúbal to be assisted.
Victor Hugo Valente was involved last week in a controversial case in which he was accused of embezzling a € 300,000 loan from football-related businessmen.
An extraordinary general meeting was called on January 17 to hold elections for the new management. The decision was taken after the Chairman of the General Meeting of Vitória, Cardoso Ferreira, was resigned from five members (plus five alternates) of the Board chaired by Vitor Hugo Valente, elected in 2017.
