To date, 70 deaths have been reported in Belgium following vaccination against covid, without a direct link to immunization. This was announced by local media, referring to official data, BTA reported.

There were 10,040 cases of adverse reactions in the country after the vaccination of 1,502,795 people. Of these, 1,899 vaccinated reactions were severe, but within the limits described in the package leaflets.

It is noted that the most common adverse reactions were observed after the first dose of AstraZeneca vaccine and after the second dose of Pfizer vaccine. No data on Moderna’s vaccine are given, nor is there a breakdown of the quantities of vaccines given by manufacturer.

Belgium decided yesterday to limit the use of the AstraZeneca vaccine following confirmation by the European Medicines Agency (EDA) that the drug appears to cause thrombosis, especially in young women. The decision is expected to be reviewed in a month and to take into account additional assessments and recommendations from EAL.
