A public school, comprising four classes, was also closed Wednesday in Siaugues-Sainte-Marie in Haute-Loire, after the detection of a case of Covid, said the prefecture of the department in a press release.
Screening must be organized: negative students will return to school on September 10, the others will have to wait until September 14, she explains.
Closure and isolation of 23 students in Saint-Priest
In addition, a CE1 student from the Marius-Berliet school group, in Saint-Priest (Lyon metropolis), tested positive for Covid-19 on the first day of school. His parents had given him a test on Monday on the recommendation of the ARS, the family having been in contact with infected people.

The ARS immediately recommended closing the class in order to allow the isolation of the 23 other students who will all be tested as soon as possible. When questioned, the town hall regretted that the family did not wait for the result of the test before putting their child to school. What we can advise parents is that when in doubt, caution is required in the current context of a health crisis.
