Singer August Alsina has just given an interview in which he talks for the first time about the old rumors that attributed to him an affair with Jada Pinkett Smith to confirm that he had a romantic relationship with her while she was married.
However, it would not have been a secret affair because, according to their version of events, both had the approval of Will Smith. In fact, the famous actor and August would have had a very civil conversation about it.
“Actually, I sat down with Will and we were talking about the transformation of their marriage into a union as life partners … and he gave me his blessing,” he said in statements to the program ‘The Breakfast Club’.
August would have met the actress through her older son, young rapper and performer Jaden Smith, sometime in 2015, and their chemistry became apparent a year later while on vacation in Hawaii. In 2017 they came to attend the BET Awards gala together and the popular belief is that the remix of the single ‘Nunya’ that the musician released in 2019 talks about Jada.
If he has decided to break his silence about Jada now, it is only because he wants to make it clear that he is not a ‘home smasher’ or a person who gloats in the drama. In fact, the most hurt in this whole love story was, in his opinion, himself.
“I have lost money, friends … And I think it is because people do not know the truth, but I have not done anything wrong,” he insisted. “It all tore me apart … It was probably the hardest thing that has ever happened to me in my entire life.”
Despite the fact that his relationship with Jada almost cost him his life, to this day he only has good words for the Smiths: “I love you all, they are beautiful people”, he concluded.
