Luxembourg confirmed the first case of contagion caused by the new coronavirus in a 40-year-old man who spent a few days in Italy. In Armenia, the infected man was in Iran.

Luxembourgian Health Minister Paulette Lenert, quoted this Sunday by the Spanish agency EFE, said the patient manifested symptoms earlier this week and that they are identifying the people with whom he has been in contact.

The patient was isolated with his family at the Luxembourg Hospital Center, although the family has no symptoms, according to the newspaper “Le Soir”.

This case led Charleroi airport, the second most important in Belgium (neighboring country of Luxembourg), to activate phase three of the health epidemic plan, which means the implementation of new measures, such as the opening of a crisis center. , reported the Belgian news agency.
