Fürth (ots) – For the second time within 24 hours, a 32-year-old was brought to the police after a traffic check on Saturday evening (May 9th). Around 6:30 p.m., civil investigators stopped the man from Fürth with his scooter on federal road 460. However, during the subsequent inspection, he was not able to show a valid driver’s license, but only a moped test certificate. When asked about the need for a driver’s license, he stated that it was secured the evening before. Investigations confirmed this statement, after an accident involving alcohol in Rimbach, police officers from the Heppenheim police station put it in official custody. According to previous knowledge, he had hit another road user. An alcohol test subsequently showed a value of 1.18 per thousand, which led to the confiscation of the driver’s license. In another case, the person who has been stopped must now also face criminal charges. The 32-year-old was prohibited from continuing and criminal charges were filed against him.
