Montequinto Coeduca has been operating in the neighborhood of Montequinto since 2018 as a Red Zonal Coeducadora. This cooperative initiative, as they explain, “is aimed at educational centers, teachers, families, AMPAS, volunteers and entities that work for Equality.”

His intention, he continues, “is none other than to delve into a good training, exchange experiences, strengthen and help each other some centers to others. Grow in equality as a society ”.

The objective “to eliminate sexist stereotypes, reformulate the cultural structures resulting from the binary system and the sexual division of labor that discriminatory gender roles, vain and unequal. To transform them, improving life, the neighborhood and society ”.

For this, it has been agreed to incorporate the actions of Montequinto Coeduca in the Equality Plans of each center and in memory. In those planned for this course 2020-21, the lines of work that are operating in previous courses will continue, such as continuing with the actions around the ‘buentrato’ as an axis to build egalitarian relationships.

In addition to continuing to influence the non-sexist oral and written language, inviting students to spot sexist kits in posters, advertising, textbooks and educational materials.In this course the actions of prevention of gender violence they have focused on the slogan ‘I am not your doll’, with a common manifesto or short phrases as public manifestos against ill-treatment. The Primary students have worked on the egalitarian relationships and social skills for equality. While in Secondary, toxic relationships in adolescence have been addressed.

In addition, they want to start a new line to work on the affective-sexual education “In a careful and caring way.” For this, it is committed to the participation and cooperation of families and one of the first lines of work is the training and reflection of the group itself.

The following schools participate in the Montequinto Educa platform: CEIP Europe, CEIP Olivar de Quinto, CEIP Ana María Matute, CEIP Poetas Andaluces, CEIP Rafael Alberti, CC Calasancio Hispalense, IES María Galiana, IES Mariana Pineda, IES Galileo Galilei and IES Hermanos Machado.
