England’s Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle expressed concern to Spotify about COVID misinformation on that platform, but remain willing to continue working with that company.
The statement by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex comes after Neil Young and Joni Mitchell announced that they will withdraw their music from Spotify in protest at the broadcast of a popular podcast accused of spreading falsehoods about the virus and vaccines against the disease. Then the British James Blunt joined.
Harry and Meghan spoke with Spotify in April of last year and addressed “the real consequences” of misinformation about COVID, according to spokesmen for the dukes, who stated that the couple asked for changes to the platform.
