For years, tennis was in the first place for her. Today, the woman from Kraków is a mother, wife and entrepreneur. The former tennis player leads a luxurious life, but she is not one of those athletes who flaunt their wealth at every turn.

“Tennis has been my whole life. Everything I have now, everything I’ve experienced, everywhere I’ve been, is thanks to tennis. My place in tennis has given me many privileges in life and in sports. Professional sports require sacrifices, and they have been there from the very beginning.” she said in the documentary Radwanská – my match broadcast on TVP Sport in December 2018.

She used to have almost nothing, today she is a multimillionaire

When Agnieszka Radwanská and her younger sister Urszula started their tennis adventure, they didn’t have much money. Their father dreamed of them becoming tennis players. The family had to sacrifice a lot in order to train and develop.

I can only thank my father for choosing this sport for us. Nobody gave me anything for free, I had to work hard for everything since I was a child. I practically started from scratch. Agnieszka Radwanská has won 20 WTA singles tournaments in her career and reached the second place in the world ranking. In 2012, she made it to the Wimbledon final and in 2015 she won the Masters tournament. She also triumphed at the junior Grand Slam tournaments Wimbledon and Roland Garros.

Radwanská remained at the top for years. She became a multimillionaire by playing at a high level. She has earned a total of US$27,683,807 in gross at WTA tournaments. To this must be added a considerable amount from sponsorship and advertising contracts.

And there is no contradiction, because I usually buy a purse or shoes after winning a tournament. It is a kind of reward. I know money changes people, but I hope it hasn’t changed me.

I worked too long and hard for them, I sacrificed too much for them to suddenly become someone completely different under the influence of money. That’s how I was raised,” states in his autobiography.

In another interview, she revealed that if she buys something expensive, then with the idea that it will last her a long time. “I would never buy a designer sweater for a few thousand zlotys. It would fold in no time, so it would be throwing money in the trash. I have never made such purchases in my life, and I will not do so either,” she revealed in the Gala show in 2018.
