A 51-year-old man took his own life in the Parvomai railway station area. Police said the suicide occurred shortly after 10pm on Saturday. The signal was sent to telephone 112 by the train dialing engineer. He told uniformed arrivals at the scene that the man was lying on the tracks, did not have time to react, whereupon the train passed over his body.
The body was lifted. It is unclear how many people were on the train. An investigation procedure has been initiated in the case. The reason for the suicide is being clarified.
