The judicial investigation opened following stabbing between minors designated this minor as “sponsor” of the punitive expedition of November 13, 2020. He asked before the investigating chamber of the court of appeal of Angers, and obtained, his release.
The young minor was 15 years old at the time of the facts, indicted for complicity in the attempted murder, he asked to be released. His request was heard yesterday, September 8 by the investigating chamber, which decided to release him.
Teenage rivalries
Three minors and one adult are targeted by the judicial investigation, after acts of violence committed on November 13 in front of the Paul-Émile-Victor high school in Avrillé (Maine-et-Loire). The young man was arrested last June with another minor. He is mainly suspected of having caused or ordered the assault on the victim of the facts. The second minor is still imprisoned.
The acts of violence with a knife occurred against the backdrop of neighborhood rivalries, and followed another assault between the same adolescents. The victim of November 13 would have been in the role of the aggressor a month earlier against the two main protagonists.
Good student
Released, the young minor remains under judicial supervision with a ban on contact with the victims, an obligation to reside with a member of his family, and a ban on appearing in the Roseraie district. He is unknown to the police and is a good student.
The second minor who remained in detention, the alleged perpetrator of the stabbing, is unfavorably known to the courts. The Angers public prosecutor specifies that investigations are still ongoing.
Recall of facts
The high school student victim of the assault on November 13 had six stab wounds to the shoulder, abdomen and thigh. A car had suddenly stopped to cut him off. Three people came out, rushing at their victim, spraying him with tear gas, knocking him down, hitting and stabbing him with knives. The attackers then fled.
