Florentino Luís renewed his contract with Benfica this Friday and the announcement of the contract extension will soon be made by the Eagles.
The 23-year-old defensive midfielder broke his bond with the Eagles in 2024 and, as reported by A BOLA in this Friday’s edition, contract renewal was a priority for SAD incarnate.
Florentino completed practically the entire training at the Benfica Campus and, in 2018/2019, at the hands of Bruno Lage, he made his debut in the first team. After the loan to Monaco and Getafe, the midfielder returned to the pre-season under the orders of Roger Schmidt and ‘fell into the goto’ of the German coach, who has an almost absolute starter in Florentino this season, totaling 1,287 minutes in 17 leave until the moment.
