They buried the Bulgarian student who was murdered in London

They sent away the student killed in London with flowers from ‘Arsenal’

Gabriel Stoyanov was posthumously awarded for his efforts to integrate into British society

Bulgarian student Gabriel Stoyanov, who died in a knife attack, has been buried with flowers by his favorite English football club, Arsenal. The guys from the team’s fan club have always stood by his mother Marijana Petrova in the difficult days after her death.

The 21-year-old was stabbed on Nov. 4 as he walked home with a friend. Three students aged 14, 16 and 17 were arrested for his murder.

The five boys meet on a bus for about 5 minutes in which an argument ensues. Gabriel and his friend get out, and the three attackers continue riding for two more stops, then come back to them and attack them.

Gabriel was an ardent fan of Arsenal football club, but his mother said this had nothing to do with his murder.

“These are random people. There’s absolutely no connection. They’re complete strangers. It’s like getting on a bus tomorrow and saying to a teenager, ‘Take your feet off the seat,’ and he attacks you with a knife. It’s these waves “Instead of arguing and solving problems with their fists, like our kids did, now they take out knives and kill each other,” explained the mother.

At the funeral, he received a posthumous diploma for his son from the London Borough of Bromley, where they live. It is called “Celebrating Success” and is given due to the efforts of young Bulgarians to integrate into British society and start studying business science.

The funeral ceremony was also attended by the Bulgarian priest in London, Dobromir Dimitrov, who also read a letter of condolence on behalf of the Bulgarian state, signed by ambassador Marin Raykov.

Gabriel Stoyanov will be cremated in London. With half of his mortal remains, a tree will be planted near his favorite place in the British capital, and with the other half of him the same funeral rite will be performed in his hometown of Varna. So he will have his place both in Bulgaria and in London, where people who love him will be able to remember him.

At the site of his attack on London’s Bromley Road, people continue to lay flowers and his family have placed 21 balloons to mark the age of Gabriel Stoyanov’s death.

Her mother gave all the people who help her in these difficult days a little angel with her name. She has vowed to do everything in her power to make a difference in British society so that no more innocent young people die like this.

Two 16-year-old boys were recently stabbed to death in London at the same time and over 40,000 serious crimes are committed in the UK each year.
