A doctor reveals the cause of King Charles III’s severe finger swelling

Al-Marsad Newspaper: Dr. Gareth Ney revealed the causes of King Charles III, King of England, who suffered from severe swelling of his fingers.

Nye said that for years King Charles III suffered from chilblains, a chronic disease that the king himself jokingly called “sausage fingers”, during a tour of Australia after a long trip in 2012.

He explained that many health conditions can be responsible for the swelling, noting that the most important are water retention and aging, according to the British newspaper “Daily Mail”.

He added that this type of swelling is called edema, a condition in which the body begins to retain fluid in the extremities, usually in the legs and ankles, and also in the fingers, which leads to swelling and older people can develop it if they sit for long periods of time.

And recent photos of King Charles III showed his swollen and red fingers, after the focus shifted to him following the death of Queen Elizabeth II and his accession to the throne.
