BOLA – Court rejects FPF appeal on punishment of Rúben Amorim (Sporting)

The Central Administrative Court of the South (TCAS) rejected the appeal of the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) on the decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAD) to annul the 15-day suspension of Rúben Amorim.

It should be recalled that on April 13, Sporting’s coach had been suspended for 15 days, following the expulsion against Famalicão (1-1), in a game of the 26th round of the League last season, for «injurious words addressed to the refereeing team’ at the end of the game. Rúben Amorim appealed to TAD, which was right, despite having served the punishment, namely against Farense and Belenenses SAD.

However, the FPF appealed the TAD’s decision to the TCAS, which, now, returned to agree with the lions coach.
