Ambitious Project Hunts for Evidence of Alien-Created Technology

Jakarta

Tim astronomer international set up a new project to search for evidence of technology created by civilization alien. The project is led by Avi Loeb, a controversial Harvard University astronomer.

Loeb co-founded this ambitious project with Frank Laukien, chairman, president and CEO of Bruker Corp., the company that develops and manufactures science equipment. The main objective of this project is to find and investigate evidence of extraterrestrial technological civilizations or extraterrestrial technological civilizations (ETC).

“Science should not reject potential extraterrestrial explanations because of social stigma or cultural preferences that are not conducive to the scientific method of impartial empirical investigation,” Loeb said in his official statement, as quoted from Live Science, Tuesday (27/7/2021).

“We must now ‘dare to look through the new telescope,’ both literally and figuratively,” he continued.

The project will collect data from astronomical surveys and telescope observations. This data is then analyzed using algorithms and artificial intelligence (AI) to identify which are sightings alien and the technology.

In addition, this project will also establish dozens of telescopes that will be deployed around the world. The team will also develop software to analyze data collected by the Vera Rubin Observatory, which will be active in 2023.

Currently, The Galileo Project has received a donation of USD 1.755 million. These funds will be used not only to search for alien life, but also evidence of abandoned civilizations through their technology, or what is commonly referred to as technosignatures.

One of the alien objects that have visited our solar system is Oumuamua. Loeb once said that Oumuamua — which passed Earth in 2017 and was identified as a comet or asteroid — was an example of alien technology.

The shape of Oumuamua is not like most comets or asteroids, because it is more elongated like a cigar. Loeb is one of the scientists who think this object is a tool created by alien to visit another world.

One of The Galileo Project’s goals is to find alien objects like Oumuamua. They will also focus on finding ETC satellites that might be watching Earth and analyzing UFO sightings.
