Different educational centers in the country began this Monday the vaccination day against Covid-19 for children between 5 and 11 years old.
Crying, fear and sometimes even panic reigned in the environment, since many of the children accompanied by their parents refused to be vaccinated.
Yair, a student at the San Miguel Arcángel Military Educational Center, confessed that he was afraid “because they say that it hurts for three days.”
Dr. Nathanael García, in charge of the “Vacunate RD” program at the school, reported that it is estimated that approximately 1,900 infants will be vaccinated at this center.
On the other hand, Marieta Díaz, director of district 08 of Santiago, explained that some 98,000 children are eligible to be vaccinated throughout the province.
Díaz said that they will be helping with the logistics so that the Ministry of Public Health can carry out the event.
The new phase of the immunization and fight against coronavirus scheme must have the permission of the parents.
The Public Health authorities explained that the vaccine that will be applied will be the Sinovac.
